The walls shake a little when the fight outside hit the wall by the door, a mass of dirty brown hair filling the view from the small window. The force of it manages to knock the door open, a loud creak echoing from rusted hinges. Abby's plan for hiding will keep her relatively safe for now, but though the somewhat sober sailor of the three steps into the room. He is curious, his captain's quarters a treasure trove, but he is not stupid enough to steal anything.

The brown leather of his boots is visible to the gnome as he turns and wanders back out again to watch continuing fight, but neither man looks fit enough to last much longer, his entertainment is dwindling and with the other crew and captain not due back until dawn, he resigns himself to a seat on a barrel.

The open door shows the deck, dark wood, even darker now that night has finally taken hold. Shadows everywhere that may help the gnome should she try to sneak past the sailors, a resourceful one such as herself shouldn't have too much of a problem.

Plenty of shadows...plenty of opportunities to hide. She grinned, and carefully crawled out, sneaking to the opposite side of the room...and pulling the pin on the firebomb she'd bought. She flattened herself against the wall under the window and almost casually tossed the bomb over her shoulder through the window. Her bag was clutched in her fist, and she waited for the explosion to at least catch the ship on fire, and at best set one of the sailors aflame.

The bomb bounced a few times after it hit the deck, almost ending up in the water at one point before rolling to a halt at the base of a barrel. It had gone unnoticed for the first, but the subsequent thuds draw the attention of the somewhat sober man, the others having stopped trading punches to exchange heated words with each other.

"Hey! What is th-"

The man's voice was cut off as he fell to the deck, the bomb exploding, flames spilling out and trying to find purchase on wood dampened by sea air. The others fell clumsily too and the fire found dry fabric of sails and dry barrels to fuel it. From this it began to spread quickly and the men stared in silent shock for more moments then wise to. Finally it was the sailor with his wits still about him that stood and began to try to put out the blaze, the drunken idiots following him with hurried and stumbling steps. Their backs turned and their attentions far from the captain's quarters.

Her grin spread wide across her face, nearly giggling at the carnage as she hefted her bag over her shoulder and sprinted out, past the sailors and into the water, landing near one of the dock poles. The bag nearly pulled her down, but she struggled against it and grabbed onto a ladder that hung down into the water, smiling up at the conflagration in nearly childlike fascination. "I gotta thank the lass fer sendin' me out here..." She chuckled and climbed up the ladder to head back to the warehouse....making a quick stop first.

There were frantic yells for help as the flames continued to take purchase, people came running from buildings, even a couple of Sentinels joined the effort to stop the spread. None took notice of the small woman hanging from the side of the burning ship, even the spectators that gathered on the dock. Abby wandered the docks for a while, looking for what it was she had need to delay meeting for.

Marlena, however, had heard the commotion but ignored it. Whether it was the doing of the gnome woman, she did not know, and she did not wish to know. She was pacing the warehouse impatiently and repeatedly looking to the door, waiting for the gnome to show, hopefully with news of how she disposed of the opium.

(Sorry, sorry. Work stuff. Was rather unexpected.)

She walked into the warehouse, head held high, nearly prancing as she carried a small bag of something that jingled. The haul had been stashed for later...not that she didn't trust Marlena, which she actually didn't, but it helped her mind that she'd put something away for later. She tossed the bag across the floor, and it opened partway, revealing the shattered remains of the glass vials. There was some opium in the bag, but most of it was gone. She could easily see eleven silver vial caps among the glass shards and dust. "Rest of it's in the bay, makin' the fish feel reaaallll nice. Cracked 'em all open like eggs on th'way back here. I get paid now, lass?"

Marlena watched the gnome and smiled, the commotion outside was no doubt her doing, but it seemed the job had been done. She didn't know the quantity of opium that had been brought into the town, but was willing to trust Abby that it had all been taken care of, really in this matter, she could only take the gnomes word for it.

Nodding at her words, Marlena pushed herself away from the crate she had been sitting on and stepped closer, side stepping the broken glass and liquid that spilled out upon the floor. A hand went behind her back and pulled a small leather purse from her belt. Feeling the weight of it in her palm for a moment before she threw it to Abby, Marlena gave a smile.

Twenty gold, as promised. I do hope you stick around, Abby. Seems you have a knack for creating excitement, something this place does lack at times. And I could use someone that will get the job done quickly for a reasonable price.

"Oi!" She pointed up at her, eyes daring, gleaming with the rush of burning the ship and making off with money. "'Citement..." She suddenly took the bag as if it were bread and she were starving, feeling the weight of the coin gladly. "I can do, lass. Annythin' else? I got shtuff to buy, goin' shoppin' wif my brannew pocket change." Her smirk was sly, but there was gratefulness in there somewhere.

Marlena laughed softly at the eagerness of the gnome, turning back to the table her papers were scattered over and gently running fingers over them to push some aside. There was nothing that Abby could do for her now. Not without some preparation, but there would be jobs available should she want to earn money at anytime. That was if she stayed in Wistvale of course.

Looking to the gnome, illuminated by the single candle in front of her, she shook her head, though the smile remained.

I think we are done for this evening, Abby Whizzlesprocket. Your assistance is much appreciated. I do hope you stay in town, Abby. I'm sure I'll have other ways for you to make the money you want and need.

She considered that for a second, enjoying the jingle of her new money. Maybe it wouldn't hurt. "Alright. You have a good night, lass. I'll be around. For a while at least."

She left the warehouse, walking along the docks to the little roof she'd staked out as a temporary shelter. She produced from her vest a small roll of paper, humming a cheery little shanty to herself as she rolled it tight. Inside the roll was a thin coating of wetted dust, the remains of the twelfth vial of opium. Stopping on a bridge, she watched the moon for a moment, and the distant smoldering ship that was her handiwork. Chuckling, she lit the smoke, taking in a big, intoxicating breath. "Lovely. Don't know what they're missin'." Then she headed back to her rooftop hideout, a trail of smoke following her.

(Haha, awesome end Whizzle. I wondered what she'd done with that twelfth vial. 35 gold and 3 acclaim for you. The dagger she got was a Silver Dagger, go check Merchant Alley to see what it's worth. You can put it in your inventory or sell it for half it's value.)

(Thanks much; figured it'd be like her to partake. I think I'll keep the dagger, may come in useful. Thanks, Poppy!)
